Eixample is the name of this gay part of the city and it is affectionately also called gayxample. However, there is no denying the fact that Eixample is very pretty and modern and it is also one of the trendiest parts of the city that is home to many an exciting gay club and bar and you can easily find gay accommodation here.
Another option for the gay person is a place called Sitges which though not in Barcelona is close enough to Barcelona and which is a great place for those who want gay action.

In addition, you will also find some very exciting gay clubs though most of these bars, clubs and accommodations are only available in Eixample.
Sitges is not exactly in Barcelona but it is not far from Barcelona and is a very pretty town that too has much to offer to gays. In fact, the beaches here are frequented by gays who account for as many as thirty percent of the entire Sitges tourist population.
